The unique Sri Lankan ritual of a Kiri Amma Dane is an alms giving for mothers to invoke blessings on the children of the nation.

This sacred ceremony focuses on the strong bonds created between mother and child and reminds us of the invaluable role a mother plays in the life of her children.

As part of the “Senehase Thilina” initiative, we invited 336 mothers from across Sri Lanka to take part in large-scale ceremonies held across the Western, Southern and Central provinces, and accordingly the participating mothers in turn wished goodwill and fortune upon the children of Sri Lanka.
